Dr. Mercy Mumba serves as the Principal Investigator for several studies, all of which are focused on identifying the best methods for sustaining recovery. There is no cookie cutter approach to recovery. With this in mind, we have developed studies and programs to reach persons in recovery wherever they may be in their journey. Our team utilizes a person-centered approach in which we prioritize getting the right help for each individual. We offer the following free support:

Free Counseling and Support
Giving Back by Becoming a Certified Recovery Support Specialist
- For persons who want to give back to others in recovery by serving as a behavioral health paraprofessional, earning college credit and gaining certification: Minds and Mentors Paraprofessional Training Program (MiMP-TP)
Community Re-Entry & Employment
- For persons focused on rejoining the community, employment, and sustained recovery: Recovery Ecosystem for Substance use prevention and Treatment through community Reintegration and Employment support for Alabamians (RESTORE)
