What Do We Do?
Study provides group therapy counseling that combines mindfulness-based relapse prevention therapy and peer mentoring to improve adherence to medications for opioid use disorders (MOUD).
After you consent to be part of the study you will be randomly placed in one of two groups: the mindfulness-based relapse prevention (MBPR) group or the twelve-step facilitation (TSF) group.
If you are by chance assigned to the MBRP group, you will participate in 8 weekly therapy sessions with a licensed counselor followed by 4 weekly sessions with a peer mentor. If you are by chance assigned to the TSF group, you will participate in 12 weekly sessions of the TSF.
